| More Information Camellia oil is a traditional beauty care secret of Japan. The lovely golden colour oil is obtained by being cold pressed from the seed pods of the Camellia japonica tree. The camellia tree is the same family as green tea tree. Camellia oil is high (90%) in olein acids and glycerides it adds shine and conditions hair while also treating damage from perms and colourants. The hair cuticle under microscopic inspection shows a noticeably smoother appearance after use with camellia oil. Camellia oil is most suitable for very dry or naturally coarse hair. Also recommended for damaged split hair that has been over processed with bleach, colorants and perms. Camellia oil can be used for relief of itchy scalp due to allergies or dandruff. For skin-care it can be used as a moisturizer to help dry skin, and after-bathing as a body-oil. For those who do toiletry making it is a lovely addition to lotions and soaps. HOW TO USE CAMELLIA OIL FOR HAIR CARE:
Coarse Hair - After shampooing, apply a few drops on wet hair, let dry a bit, and style as usual, Conditioning shine for coarse hair: Brush into hair sparingly.
Damaged hair - Overnight conditioning. Before sleep Apply a few teaspoons to hair by massaging gently from the middle to end of hair, comb through hair, preferably with a wood comb land leave on overnight. Shampoo out the next morning.
Hot Oil Treatment: Add a few drops to 1/2 cup hot water, massage in hair and warm towel wrap hair for 30 mins, wash well.
HOW TO USE CAMELLIA OIL FOR SKIN CARE:
Use morning and evening to rejuvenate face, body. Camellia seed oil will be completely absorbed within minutes.After cleansing whilst skin is still damp with moisture beads, apply a few drops on your palm, and gently smooth and pat around face eyes, and neck.In the evening:
Apply on a damp cotton ball, rinse with water to remove make-up. Cleanse and apply again to keep skin moist through the night.
To fade out pregnancy stretch marks, apply a few drops and massage for a few minutes, using palms to achieve abdominal toning.
HOW TO USE CAMELLIA OIL FOR HAND & NAIL CARE:
Massage a small amount of oil into cuticles daily. Massage a few drops into hands before bedtime.
